Review: & Other Stories Fig Fiction

I don't live in London or somewhere where this is an & Other Stories store so because I've been staying with my boyfriend pre-'move across the pond', I have been making the most of visiting the shops I won't be able to visit over the next few months. When I first went to & Other Stories I got the Face Contour Creme and a black tshirt dress and last time I got the Fig Fiction Body Scrub and the Body Soufflé- which are the two products I am going to talk to you about today.

I've heard various bloggers and youtubers talk about the fig range from & Other Stories and I have always liked figgy smells in the past so I was intrigued from the very beginning. When I initially smelled the Fig Fiction range on my first visit to & Other Stories, I was kind of underwhelmed. It just didn't smell as good as I thought it would to be honest. But when I went away I (sad to admit) kept thinking about it and when I went back to smell the range again, it smelled amazing. I don't know how, I don't know why but it just smelled really good. I think I hadn't been ready the first time for the scent to be so subtle and I had expected it to be significantly sweeter so I think that is why I left disappointed. It is actually quite a fresh yet warm, musky scent and it is delicate rather than overpowering. The Body Scrub is really hard and dense in consistency so it's not the kind of scrub that makes a mess of your shower or bath tub which is good. It also lathers up a bit which is nice because it means a little goes a long way. The scrub feels really relaxing because of the scent, so it's nice one for before bed. The Body Soufflé feels really luxurious and you don't need much of it so hopefully these will last me a little while. I don't have any complaints about either of these, which is boring so I apologize! I also like the packaging because it is simple and if you know me, simple is what I go for (except for when it comes to boyfriends, I promise my boyfriend isn't stupid). The only problem now is I 'need' the rest of the range...

The Fig Fiction Body Scrub costs £7 & the Fig Fiction Body Soufflé costs £10.

Have you tried anything from the Fig Fiction range? Or from & Other Stories at all?

  2. I adore this range - I have the body lotion and it smells so damn good. The scent lasts all day too. I have my eye on the scrub and can't wait to buy it.
