So I am not joking when I say this is one of the worst makeup products I have ever tried. When I swatched it in store it seemed so promising and it felt really soft, but when it came to actually using it with a brush on my face it was a different story...
First off I will point out that I think the packaging of the Loud Night Bronzer totally hideous but when I bought it I just looked past that. However, now I know that I hate this thing I will use it against it just because I can. It just looks so tacky and it's really big and plasticky. I think the colour of the actual bronzer is pretty good (I got this in the 02 Silky Mat Tan shade), it's kind of orange but not too orange (orangey bronzers suit me so I didn't mind that). The problem with this is that if you swirl your brush in all three colours, it gives you splodges of bright pink and baby pink on your face. The issue there is that the 'highlight' and 'blush' shade are too small in surface to use separately. When I realised this I decided to use just the bronze shade on it's own but honestly the formula is actually really messy and as soon as your brush even touches the powder it just goes everywhere. Messiness aside, it applied really badly onto my face. It stuck to certain patches and it just looked like a total mess. I am surprised because a lot of KIKO's makeup is really 'affordable' aka just cheap but this bronzer cost £14.90 which isn't that inexpensive so I kind of expected it to deliver or at least not be totally awful and a waste of money.
Stay away from this bronzer! It's the worst.
So because this review has been so negative and maybe you think I'm a cynical creature now, I will recommend a bronzer than I think is good. I'm talking about The Body Shop's Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder, which really lives up to any hype you may have heard about it. Not only is it good but the packaging is a lot nicer than 'the-devil-bronzer' and it is actually cheaper, coming in at £13.
Oh no, sorry to hear this was such a disappointment! I usually hear amazing things about the Kiko range!

Haha it's so tacky right?
DeleteThat sucks because I usually love Kiko! We don't have it here in North America but I always love getting tons of stuff whenever I'm in Europe.

Oh well!
DeleteOh dear! I hate it when I really look forward to using a product and it disappoints! I'd bear in mind to steer clear of this when I'm choosing my next blush/bronzer to try!

It looked ugly in my makeup bag anyway ;)
DeleteI've never tried Kiko products before so I don't really have much of an opinion on them, but I have to admit that on the price and the packaging alone I would be a bit put off. It's a shame they couldn't redeem themselves with the product itself :)
ReplyDeleteI'm having a giveaway on my blog and would love for you to enter :) xx
Yeah I know, I'm surprised because it's quite expensive for Kiko!
DeleteUrgh it sounds like such a disappointment! I really think the packaging is a little bit too gordy for my liking.. it looks cheap :( xx
