Essie Meet Me At Sunset

It seems to be that in the beauty blogging community you're either pro-Essie or anti-Essie and I am definitely pro. I actually find that all nail varnishes pretty much chip the same amount on my nails and it is all about what top coat I wear. I love Essie because of the amazing colour range, I just think they have a colour to go with every outfit and for every occasion. I find that their colours are a lot more complex and perfected than what you might find from some of the cheaper brands. This one is Meet Me At Sunset.

If you've been reading my blog for a little while you might know that I absolutely love any kind of orange makeup and that kind of goes for nail polish too. I don't like to wear a lot of colour so I think it looks really nice when you're wearing a plan, monochrome outfit with a pop of colour on the nails. A lot of orangey peachy nail polishes don't suit my skin tone (even though I find most peachy or orange blushes and lipsticks suit me) but I find that Meet Me At Sunset is a universally flattering shade. It's a really deep orangey red so in some lights it will look more orange and in others it will look like a bright fiery red. I think this would look especially amazing on people with a dark skin tone just because of how vibrant it is, it would make a really pretty contrast. If you're looking for a vibrant, deep orange then I would definitely suggest checking this one out.

You can get it from Beauty Bay or Boots in the diffusion line.

  2. This is a lovely shade, very similar to the one I'm wearing at the moment by Illamasqua (called Alert- its a teeny bit more orange).

This looks like my kind of red - I tend to prefer slightly orange reds for my skin tone :)

  14. That's a gorgeous color! I have a hard time with red shades on my nails (some make me fingers look weird, if that makes any sense) but I might have to try this one :)
