Three Tools

I wanted to talk about three beauty tools I use that aren't makeup brushes. Two are pretty standard and I know the other one you will be looking at thinking what on earth is that bizarre stick...

The first tool is the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler - the mother of all eyelash curlers. I had used other cheaper eyelash curlers but they just didn't do anything compared to this one. This is great for really lifting your lashes from the root and holding a curl. I would say I use these four times out of five before applying my mascara and it definitely makes a real difference so it's well worth the $20 it costs. The second tool is Tweezerman Mini Slanted Tweezers because they have a really good grip which I find to be the problem with all other tweezers I have ever tried. I have the mini pair because I don't feel the need to have a massive pair - I don't pluck my eyebrows that often so it really is just for the occasional stray hair. They cost $15 which isn't that cheap but they come in pretty patterns and I'm superficial so... The last tool has to be the most exciting because it's nothing like I have ever seen before. This is the Bellabe Facial Hair Remover* which you use by flexing the spring into an upside down “U” and then you place it on your skin and gently roll the handles. Then basically any hairs that it comes into contact with get pulled out - it's a strange idea and I was very curious to see if this would actually work but it's amazing. I'm not going to lie, I'm not the hairiest person around but I do like to wax my upper lip from time to time just because I'm paranoid and this is perfect for that job. It does take slightly longer than waxing and you can feel it, it's not pain free... but it's so much less messy and more convenient so I am very impressed by this. It retails at $15 from ObsessedCanada.com (appropriate considering my love for all things Canaydz).

  1. I have the ' spring' as well. It is kinda painful indeed. I do want to check out the Eyelash Curler.

  2. The 'spring' looks good but sounds quite painful. I guess you need to try it to see x

  3. I have that spring thing too and it's changed my life. I've tried waxing in the past, but always ended up looking like I have a cold sore outbreak afterwards, but with the spring thing there's not side effects of irritation.
