I used to be such a winged liner and pink lipgloss girl for years and years until about three years ago when I really started getting into makeup. I tend to wear eyeshadow more than I do eyeliner nowadays. The Naked palettes were always something I had my eye on but I could never really justify buying. But luckily I was recently given the Naked 2 palette (mom if you're reading this we can share!)
I'm definitely not doing a really in-depth review about this because it is probably one of the most hyped beauty items in recent history. But in a nutshell, you get twelve neutral shades, a little lipgloss and a useful eyeshadow brush with two ends. I think what is different about this palette from the original Naked palette is that a lot of the shades are more cool toned and it doesn't have those two awkward blue-y shades in it. My favourite thing about this palette is that the eyeshadows are really buttery soft, easy to blend and the colours (in my opinion) are very wearable. I also like the convenience of there already being a brush in the palette. My favourite shade from the palette is definitely Half Baked - it's a shadow I actually used to have in an old Urban Decay palette from years ago. There is a range of mattes and shimmers in the palette but they are predominantly shimmery.
Anyway, that's it from me! Short but sweet I hope :) There is actually 20% off on the Urban Decay website at the moment (until 10/12/13 aka this Saturday) which is convenient. The discount code is FFHOLIDAY13.
I really like the shades, even those in Naked1, but the packaging is soo unappealing for me :/ Otherwise I would buy both (and also Basics), but I simply can't overcome it :D:D
ReplyDeleteI like Half Baked too, and also Chopper is very pretty :)

Yeah those two are my favourite! I hate the packaging of Naked 1 and I don't personally like the look of basics...
DeleteI've always wanted to try out their palettes especially from their Naked palette range, starting to love the this palette over the original naked palette. Will have to sweet talk the family to ensure I have this waiting under the Christmas tree!

Do it!
DeleteAhh it's so pretty, if I wore eyeshadow more I would definitely invest in this! <3

Yeah it's a bit pricey and pointless if you don't wear eyeshadow
DeleteThis is one of my favourite makeup items ever. I use it constantly!

I think I would prefer the warmer eyeshadows in the Naked Palette 1 but I prefer the packaging of Naked 2 :)
DeleteI love this palette :-) It's so versatile. Enjoy creating many looks with it.

It's worth getting if you like neutral shadows

That's okay!
DeleteYou're making me want this even more. I feel like it would suit me so much better than the first Naked palette!

Get it gurl
DeleteLove UD eyeshadows! They are amazing and can never get enough of them. I have the first Naked palette and I agree that the blue colours are a bit awkward. I rarely use them. :)

Haha so awkward!
DeleteI can't stress enough how much I love this palette! I always go for the brownish smokey eye, and with this little beauty you can easily go from a daily to a more dramatic look in few minutes! love love love...! and I always carry in my bag the little minty lipgloss that comes with it :)
