I don't own a million MAC lipsticks, in fact I only have about six but I do think they are great quality and they have great shades considering the price (£14). I also love the kind of vanilla scent that they have - I hate lipsticks with a fruity smell, I find that really sickly. One that I have been wearing quite a lot recently is Girl About Town.
I think it's a really cool 80s pink/fuschia shade and it's an 'Amplified' finish which is probably my favourite kind of MAC finish because it's really vibrant, not too drying but not shiny either. I like to wear this with bronzed cheeks and bronzey eye makeup. I like the fact that you can still wear a really bright lip with a smokey brown eye because it is not as harsh as a black smokey eye and you won't end up looking like a drag queen (unless that is a look you go for, in which case by all means go for it!) It also looks nice though because brown eye makeup makes blue eyes pop and pink blue toned lipsticks make your teeth look whiter. I like to wear this lipstick with MAC's Magenta lipliner all over the lips and then put one layer of Girl About Town, blot it, and then reapply. I find that the 'Amplified' lipsticks last really well on the lips, especially when using a lipliner too. Apologies about the bad quality of the photos before, they're just iPhone selfies because apparently that's how I roll. I know you can't see my makeup very well but in the pictures below I am wearing the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Taupe with MAC Woodwinked all over the lid and under the eyes, MAC Cork in the crease and Stila Kitten in the inner corner.
