Another month has gone by, which means Spring is actually here and my dissertation is due really soon. So I'm feeling kind of happy/stressed both at once about that. I don't know if the stress is getting to my skin or what but the reason why there will be no skincare items in this post is because nothing could save what is going on on my chin right now. It's a real disaster, but anyway lets get on with my March favourites shall we...
Left to right: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, Sleek Face Form Palette, MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme, Clarins Ever Matte Powder, Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer. |
Sleek Face Form |
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
I also love the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (it has to be one of my favourite foundations I have ever tried), but because my skin is a little iffy at the moment I need something with a little more coverage. I also think if my skin is so bad, there might be some kind of oil control problem going on so I don't want anything too dewy that will bring attention to my problematic skin. This foundation gives really nice coverage, the colour is a really great pale neutral/yellow shade (it's in the shade 51 Light Vanilla) which is great for me and I just love the formula. I prefer the serum version for when my skin is better but this is still really nice.
Sleek Face Form Palette in Light
I'm in France at the moment as some of you may know and I didn't want to bring a million bulky products (my mother would disagree with this, but I think I did pretty well for me!) so these Sleek palettes are great travelling. This one has a contour shade, a highlighter and a blush which are all really great for pale skin, so this is just a really handy product to have around.
Clarins Ever Matte Shine Control Mineral Powder Compact
I have this in 01 Transparent Light and I just think it is an amazing powder, if you want something quite light with little coverage but never cakey - you need this. It has the most amazing, buttery soft texture and it's not detectable on the skin at all but leaves a lovely satin finish.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Correcting Concealer
I don't think this is great for blemishes but I love this for correcting any redness on my cheeks and for under my eyes. Like the Healthy Mix Foundation and Serum this comes in a great colour for my skin tone. I also need another concealer for blemishes so I still have the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer on me at all times but this is much nicer for under the eyes.
MAC Fluidline Brow Gelcreme in Dirty Blonde
I wish they had a lighter version of this for me because it is a tiny bit dark but when I use this with a bit of MAC Omega it creates a really nice effect. This is better for creating little hairs and adding a bit texture, it also keeps all the hairs in place so it's a nice little product that I would highly recommend if you want to try a gel product for your eyebrows.
I really want to try the Sleek palette it looks gorgeous x

It's definitely worth it, I bought it on a whim but I use it a lot :)
DeleteI want to try both of the healthy mixes, heard such great things about them. I really like the sleek contour, so this handy little palette is a great alternative to carrying around separate products! Great favourites x
ReplyDeleteBourjois is also really affordable so it's worth getting them :)
DeleteThat Sleek palette is gorgeous. It is now on my wishlist. I'm hoping my local Superdrug will stock it :) xo

The only reason I ever go to Superdrug is for Sleek blushes!
DeleteAre there any colours you would recommend for pale skin? xo
DeleteThe palette in Lace, the one in Pumpkin and also the single blush in Life's a Peach :)
DeleteThank you so much I will definitely pick them up :) xo
Deleteoo i love that borjois concealer too, but funnily enough i actually do like them on my blemishes, i find them thick enough to cover nasty redness/discoloration. i do have to set it with some powder though ;)
ReplyDeleteand that sleek palette looks gorgeous! when i was in london last month i tried my best to hunt it down in superdrug but seemed like it was sold out everywhere i went :(

I want to try the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation so badly! And the Clarins powder really is amazing... I don't own it (yet!) but I tried it out one time and was very impressed. Great favorites post!

Both are definitely worth getting :)
DeleteI love the bed covers tres chic! do you have any clue how much the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation costs ? Also, is it any good on dry skin ? Fab post by the way!
ReplyDeleteMy sister's bed covers ;) It's usually around £10. I think the Healthy Mix Serum is much better for dry skin, my skin has been a bit weird at the moment so it's more oily than dry and so it works well for me but if your skin is really dry I would say no. I'll have to see when my skin goes back to normal! :)
DeleteTell your sister that I love the covers :)! Well i tend to get the odd imperfection but in the middle of my cheeks(pfff not fun)and I struggle finding pale foundations that suit my complexion. But as soon as I saw this post I thought it would be suitable for my skin type. Would you please notify me whether or not this is good for dry skin once your skin has gone back to normal :)or do a post on it! Thanks :)
