Beauty Presents From The UK

If you read my blog on a regular basis you might know that I am friends with fellow beauty blogger Elissa from Styleaffix. I sent her a package back in November/December and she kindly returned the favor by sending me a load of UK candy as well as some unexpected beauty products. One brand I particularly miss over here is Bourjois because I love their base and lip products. Although I can't really complain too much because we do have Sephora here which makes up for that a million times over...

There are some more close-up images of some of the products she sent me at the end of this post but I'm just going to list them below and talk a bit about them first.

Collection Work The Colour Nude Eye Palette
I'm all about nude eyeshadow (or bronzey/amber/gold situations) so this is a super useful palette to have. I have only used it once and I will say when you swirl your brush into the shadows it goes absolutely everywhere. BUT once applied they look really nice so I can't complain too much. There are a lot of useful shades in here.

Bourjois Rouge Edition in Fraise Remix
I like Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks so I was happy to receive this and I think this will be a great shade for Spring.  I haven't tried it yet but from what I can see it's a bright strawberry pink shade.

Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow in Hot Chocolate & Vanilla Sky
I have tried the shade Vanilla Sky and it's a shimmery vanilla shade that didn't crease on me at all. I used it as a base under another eyeshadow and just left it as an inner corner highlight by itself. I love eyeshadow sticks so I'm happy to have these amongst my makeup stash.

Bourjois Little Round Pot Cream Blush in Healthy Glow
I wasn't interested in these whenever I saw them in the UK because for me the whole point in a cream blush is that it will remain a bit dewy on the skin. I believe this have been advertised as a cream-to-powder product which really does not appeal to me. However, I have been surprised by this because I wore it the other day and it did leave a really healthy looking glow on my skin. I also really like the shade so I'm looking forward to using this more often in the warmer months.

Sleek Blush in Flushed
This is definitely not the kind of blush I would usually go for but it is actually pretty damn stunning, especially on pale skin (which I happen to have). I think this is a perfect Winter blush and judging by New York weather, the Winter isn't going anywhere...

MUA Bronzed Perfection
I remember Elissa writing about this in this post so I was super excited to see it included in the package. I'm personally not the BIGGEST fan of NARS Laguna (I don't hate it by any means) but I actually much prefer this and it is infinitely cheaper. It is also huge so it should last me quite a while, which is good because I have been wearing it every single day since I got it.

MUA Mosaic Powder Sunkissed Glow
Now this product I haven't actually tried yet so I can't say too much about it, except that I am looking forward to trying it out!

Seventeen Phwoar Paint Concealer in Fair
I absolutely love this product. I get really bad blue tones under my eyes, especially on the inner corner so this does an amazing job at covering all that up. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with dark or blue tones under their eyes.

Thank you so much to Elissa for getting me all these products!
