August Goals

I've seen a few posts like this before but I thought if I actually typed out my goals + posted it on the internetz then maybe I wouldn't forget them + I might accomplish something!

cook //
I am really lazy in the kitchen + that is probably a bit of an understatement. I eat cereal for breakfast, lunch + dinner on a regular basis. This is probably one of my main goals this month because I can go days without eating any vegetables, which is pretty gross really. I have cooked three times this month already + I'm rotating with my sister who will also be cooking so it's looking good so far! I'm not a bad cook either persay, I'm just really lazy in the kitchen + when I'm hungry I want my food now, like right now.

exercise //
I have a gym membership + the gym is in my building so really I have no excuse apart from sometimes I get home from work too late. I want to be going to the gym at least three times a week.

organise move //
As you may or may not know, I am moving to London next month which means I need to organise some stuff. But I need to actually do it rather than talk about it...

save money //
I expect I won't be working as soon as I move to London (+ I would like a week or so off to be honest) so I really need to save at least a little bit of money.

plan a trip //
As I am leaving the US soon, I would like to get my ass to a couple more states before that happens.

stress less + cheer tf up //
I am a serial worrier. I'm the kind of person if you don't text me back I think someone has spread a vicious rumor about me that has made you hate me or I think you've died. It's a very annoying trait + it makes me stress about stupid things so I am learning (slowly but surely) to chill tf out but I don't always manage. That's not really an August goal but a life goal.

make the most of New York //
This is my last full month in New York before I move so I really want to make the most of it. I absolutely adore this city so I shouldn't let any sad feels make me forget that!

  1. I think these are great goals! I'm not sure if you've done this post before but I'd love to maybe see a "Best of New York" type post. I'm actually moving up there in August for school and I'm so excited! Funnily enough it's also my dream to live in London at some point in my life haha. Best of luck with everything :)

  2. Ah I've been thinking about doing a goals post on my blog too, it'll help me gather my thoughts a lot even if my readers don't like it that much! Getting organized more will be something I'll have to start doing before I go back to uni. my room is a mess! I also know how you feel when you think people have died when they don't text back... its tragic! Good luck with the move.

  4. I used to stress about everything, literally everything and it was so so annoying. Now I think I've probably tipped too far into the 'I'm not really fussed about most things' category but it's SO much nicer. Although I'm now the worst at getting things finished haha! xx

  7. I'm a serious worrier too, so I'm trying to cope with it lately! If can be of any help, I'm trying yoga and meditation (like 10 minutes before bed or as I wake up!), and it's slowly working.
The cooking goal is also something I want to achieve. I love cooking, but my cooking is more like a baking-cooking, so I'm more willing to spend an afternoon baking cakes, muffins etc that spend like 30 mins to cook something for lunch or dinner.
Good luck with your moving, and I'm sure you'll spend an amazing last month in NY!
